Nobody's Perfect!
Who can live up to God's standards? No one. That's where Jesus comes in.
Because of the huge gap that separated us from God, special measures had to be taken. We could do nothing to bridge that gap and reach the Lord on our own. So God sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth for us. The Almighty came and walked in our shoes, so to speak. He experienced the limitations of humanity.
He appeared on earth as a helpless human baby, like everyone else. Why did Jesus do this? To quote C.S. Lewis, "The Son of God became a man so that men might become sons of God."
