This is a story about the "silent thief of sight, an insidious eye disease that strikes without warning, without symptoms. Fifty million people worldwide have glaucoma, and as the population both grows in numbers and lives longer, the incidence of the disease is on the rise. And yet, for some reason, it has not become a part of our collective public health consciousness.

"Coping with Glaucoma"
is unusually comprehensive and well-researched with the added weight of the authors' own experiences in coping with this serious eye disease. They have provided invaluable information and advice for glaucoma sufferers everywhere.

"Glaucoma: A Patient's Guide to the Disease" by Graham E. Trope is an impressive, but simple overview of what those with glaucoma need to know. It is written in plain English and explains treatment clearly.  The causes and symptoms of glaucoma are also nicely done.  This guide is 40 pages and was published in 1997 but the University of Toronto Press.
