Veronica has always loved looking at pictures. She does extremely well when:
– favorite ice cream flavors are compared through the use of a bar graph
– english projects allow her to draw a storyboard to map out the main events in a story
– history class gives her the opportunity to create a timeline to plot out the sequence of events that led up to the creation of the Declaration of Independence
Veronica is an example of a visual learner. Learning takes place when this student sees the information organized or drawn out. These students enjoy creating diagrams and graphic organizers to help them make sense of a data set.
